Chasing Germans – Red Sauce Theatre

The Red Sauce Inclusive Theatre is a Portsmouth-based independent theatre company that proudly showcases the talents of adults with disabilities. Running since 2019, they perform live for local audiences twice a year, this dynamic group celebrates inclusivity and empowers its members to share their unique perspectives through the power of theatre.
Recently, they have expanded its reach by collaborating with a local film company, securing paid contracts that allow the troupe’s artistry to be shared on the screen as well as the stage. This exciting partnership further demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for its performers and engaging the wider community.
“Chasing Germans” is a powerful 40 mins ensemble performance that brings to life the personal stories of our local D-Day heroes. Centred around the poignant letters written by these brave individuals to their loved ones back in Portsmouth, the show offers a deeply moving and immersive glimpse into the history and culture of our city.
