The Band of HM Royal Marines presents The Oceanaires Big Band

The Band of HM Royal Marines Big Band, The Oceanaires, are proud to commemorate the 80
th
anniversary of VE day in front of their home audience at the New Theatre Royal.
Since their concert last year, the Oceanaires have had the pleasure of working with acclaimed band leader Chris Dean who is the musical director for the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. He has finely tuned the band in preparation for this concert series which sees the performers on stage in Portsmouth and Truro in Cornwall, as well as recording a number of tracks to be released on the RMBS YouTube channel later this year.
Captain Phil Trudgeon and the Oceanaires are excited to be coming back to Portsmouth and the NTR, bringing with them a programme to honour and commemorate those who brought peace to our shores 80 years ago.
