Our associate artist Filskit Theatre are bringing a joyous show to the Stage House. Bring your little one along for some wonderment brought to you by the same company that host our
Wonder Gigs
. If you’ve been to Wonder Gigs then you’ll know what fun your little ones have with the sensory experience, but this show is much more exciting, with it being a show full of amazement rather than a workshop.

Kaleidoscope
was made in response to the University of Sussex Baby Lab and their research, namely about how babies ‘colour in the world’. The show is tailored to how their vision is developing and how elements such as the levels of saturation they can see develops over time. The whole structure of the show including the order in which the colours are revealed throughout reflects this development.
This beautiful and technically fabulous show uses interactive lighting, puppetry, movement, and sound and is a highly- visual show, making it a great first theatre experience. The show is playful and gentle, the performers are experienced in involving audience members who are invited to stay and play after the show.

Day by day your world is filling up with colour, little one.
Reds and blues, yellows and greens. Twinkling lights that glisten and gleam.
Your reflection is staring back at you. Wide eyed and full of hope. Mirrors, lights, colours and sounds. The world is your Kaleidoscope.
Inspired by research into how a baby’s sense of sight develops and how they instinctively begin to categorise colour, watch as a multi-coloured Kaleidoscope is brought to life for you and your baby.
Please note: Additional adults are welcome but if the show is busy they may be asked to sit at the side of the stage. You must purchase an ‘Adult & Child’ ticket in order to add additional adults and children.
