AUDITIONS: Elite Dance Industry Week

Following the success of Elite Dance Industry Week 2024 we are excited to announce that we will be holding auditions for Elite Dance Industry Week 2025 at New Theatre Royal Portsmouth.
Age range: 10 – 18
This opportunity is specifically tailored for intermediate and advanced dancers, providing them the platform to demonstrate their skills and talent.
Dancers need to register to be auditioned. Please note audition places are limited and audition spaces will be given on a first-come first-served basis.
Age 10-13 years Audition time 9:30am-11am
Age 14-18 years Audition time 11:15am-12:30pm
(Age is taken from the age the dancer will be from 4th August 25)
If dancers are successful at the audition stage, they will be invited to participate in 5 days of dance workshops, scheduled to take place at the theatre 4 – 8 August. Participants will have the chance to learn from and interact with top industry professionals, gaining invaluable insight and guidance.
In 2024 we welcomed 60 dancers to the theatre to be taught by some of the industry’s finest teachers, offering Jazz, cruise ship, audition technique, West End rep, mindful movement masterclasses as well as a Q&A with current dance college lecturers, talks on coping with nerves as dancers and a photoshoot.
In 2025 the course will have 90 spaces, be a day longer and will be packed full of some incredible masterclasses. They will be held on our main stage as well as two mirrored dance studios, providing an authentic industry experience. To cap off the week, dancers will have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned and polished during the workshops in a performance which is open to families of the dancers. This is an event not to be missed for those looking to elevate their dance skills and extend their industry network.
Participation in the summer intensive week will cost just £225 (just £45 a day price freeze from 2024).
