Do you remember Sticky Floors & Palm Trees at Joannas on the pier?
Fancy coming back for a quick drink and a gossip about the old times?
Sticky Floors and Palm Trees is a brand new original piece of heritage theatre that examines the humanity, complexity and community of pubbing and clubbing in 80’s Pompey.
An immersive interactive experience set to a backdrop of neon lights and crushed velvet curtains Downtown Pompey invite you back into the stomping ground of ‘old’ Joannas by South Parade Pier, hearing the true stories and the scandals from the mouths of local cabaret stars and professional dancers. Through the eyes of the infamous Palm Tree we explore the stories beyond Joannas and the changing landscape of local heritage nightclubs like Ritzy’s, Marthas, Central Park and some you probably may not know.
Running time: 1hr 45m including 15 min interval
