NTR TALENT NEWS
Did you see Sticky Floors and Palm Trees? The newly created show by our associate artists Downtown Pompey explored the legendary Joanna’s nightclub on the sea front and brought to life real memories of dancing the night away.
Seren Perring has been an usher at New Theatre Royal while completing her two-year dance course at Havant and South Downs College and auditioning for dance college degree courses. Seren had already been offered places at Bird College and Performers College, but recently she had her final audition at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance for a place on their BA (Hons) Dance course. She has won a place and received an unconditional offer!
Oliver Irons, a talented 12 year old boy, who you might recognise as one of the dancers from our 2023 pantomime, made a special appearance with the Ukrainian National Opera®’s performance of Madama Butterfly in February of this year.
Katie Callis is a Gosport based dancer who is now a Technical Apprentice with NTR and Chichester College. Katie is a paid trainee, learning to use stage lights and sound, and how to counterweight scenery in our impressive fly tower. She still attends dance classes with Ashley School of Dance in her spare time.
Professional dancer Lucy Russell will help to bring our Elite Dance Industry Week to life. Lucy has a breadth of experience dancing and competing internationally and graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance, her teaching qualification and a First Class degree in Professional Practice specialising in Dance. She’s achieved an incredible career working on cruises, in stunt shows, at corporate events and much, much more, and we can’t wait to have her here.
